Information : Kristen E. Sukalac is currently President of IABC France and the chair of the IABC International Development Grants Committee. She has previously served on the board of IABC Belgium, chaired (and filled other roles on) the IABC Europe and Middle East board and helped establish IABC France. As the Head of Information and Communications at the International Fertilizer Industry Association (IFA) since 2001, she has managed communications strategy, coordinated issues management and overseen relations with external stakeholders, including international intergovernmental organisations. Her passion at work is sustainable development, especially in Africa. She previously coordinated communications for a Brussels-based international trade association and began her career as a researcher at a think-tank specialized in European affairs.

Kristen is a native of the middle of nowhere in Upstate New York, but is considered by her French significant other to be a true convert to the ways of Belgian frites, dark chocolate, good wine, fine cuisine and surviving daily life en râlant.

Information : Summer Jauneaud, IABC France Vice President, is Marketing Director for the Touraine Loire Valley Tourism Board based in the city of Tours (www.tourism-touraine.com).  She is serving her second term on the IABC Board of Directors and previously served as Chair of Programs & Events, a role for which she was recognized with the IABC EMERALD "Leader of the Year" Award in 2007. Summer brings over 10 years experience in communications and marketing with a focus on the tourism and hospitality industries. She worked five years as Director of Communications at a Paris-based international trade association representing the hospitality industry worldwide and, prior to this, worked at the French Government Tourist Office ('Maison de la France') in New York.  Originally from California, Summer has lived in France for eight years and has double French and American nationalities.

Information : Jonathan Duff is a marketing and communications professional with over 20 years' experience in B2B, industrial and technical markets.  Sector knowledge includes architecture and construction, finance, engineering, chemicals & materials, personal care and petroleum products.  He is currently responsible for marketing communications at BNP Paribas Securities Services in Paris.

Jonathan has a broad appreciation of geographical and business cultures, having lived and worked in Africa, the Middle-East, Asia-Pacific, North America and Europe.  An Irishman with a Spanish wife, his mother tongue is English and he speaks French and Spanish.  Predominantly a writer, he has a degree in economics and English literature.

Having joined IABC in 2002 when he was living in Brussels, Jonathan has been a member of IABC France since 2005.  He feels IABC brings him the opportunity to share experiences and advice with fellow communicators and to develop useful skills.

Information :  Neasa joined IABC in 2007 and will serve on its board as Membership Director. She has been in the communications business for ten years in London, Brussels and now Paris. Neasa has worked for an events company in London, with Brussels-based trade associations and as a strategic communications consultant at Ernst & Young focusing on many different industries from high tech to transport to electronics. When she arrived in Paris in 2004, she worked for three years at Dassault Systèmes as an Internal Communications Manager. Currently, she is freelancing for various companies based in Brussels and Paris. Being actively involved in the IABC allows her the opportunities to meet like-minded international professionals in Paris and to enhance her knowledge of emerging communications practices, tools and innovation. 

Neasa is Irish and is also a truly international person who has been exposed to many cultural influences. She is married and her husband has two charming children.

Information : Jean d’Artigues joined IABC in 2007 and starts his first term on the Board as Membership Director. He is a Communication and Change Senior Consultant at Towers Perrin, a worldwide Human Resources consultancy. He provides support both in the Towers Perrin Paris and London Offices. He usually works in Europe and in North Africa on management and HR development projects. Besides writing, one of his strength  is to organize and to moderate large companies events – 500 to 4000 people. Jean has over fifteen years’ experience in his consulting career with over 50 major clients in a wide range of sectors. Prior to joining Towers Perrin in 2002, Jean d'Artigues was a Change & Communications Management consultant for international corporations in two consultancy firms in Paris - INSEP Consulting and Montera & Associés –between 1999 and 2002. He also founded and led during 10 years – 1988 to 1998 – his own Change consultancy firm - FGB’a, 25 people. At the beginning of his carrier, he worked as a TV Journalist in France – France 3 – and in Luxembourg – RTL. Jean d’Artigues holds a post graduate diploma in HR from the Sorbonne University and is a graduate of Bordeaux School of Journalism. He has an international MBTI accreditation.

He is fluent in English and of French mother tongue. He manages also a large family of 4 children with his Kabyle wife and likes to sail with all of them in Brittany.

Information : Martin Crocker has been a member of the IABC for ten years. He is in his second term as Chairman of the IABC Europe Excel Award Committee and his first term as a Board member (co-Director of Communication) of IABC France.

In his professional life he is currently Head of Corporate Publications for Gemalto, based in Provence; and was previously VP Corporate Communications for Gemplus. Before that he was Director of Intermedia UK, his own Communications Consultancy based in the UK, and for a number of years was also an actor, presenter and voiceover for TV and radio.


He has an MSc in Corporate Communications, a post-graduate Diploma in Arts Administration and an Honors Degree in English and European Literature. He is incapable of tap-dancing.

Dirk Hinze is starting his first term as a co-director for communication at IABC France, where he is a member since 2006. Dirk is German by birth, American by education and French through his residence and Swiss by marriage. After several years in the Paris area, he moved to Normandy while still working in Paris. With 10 years experience in international communication with Schlumberger and Valeo, he created a communications agency, 150 West Communication in Normandy and is a communication consultant to large international companies.

Information : Aoife Drew-Palaysi joined IABC in 2006 and starts her first term on the Board as Finance Director. Aoife is a marketing and communications specialist and currently works in legal marketing for an international American law firm. Prior to this, she worked in business development and marketing for Austrade, (the Australian Trade Commission) and for Enterprise Ireland, the Irish state development agency which aids the export of Irish products and services abroad. She also has journalism experience, having written articles for a variety of publications. She has worked in Ireland, Australia, Belgium, France and the US.


A native Dubliner, she holds a Bachelors in Business and French from Trinity College Dublin and a Master of Arts in Film Studies from University College Dublin. She is married to a Frenchman and has lived in Paris since 2005.
