Welcome to the IABC France website!

IABC France's website launch coincides with significant chapter growth

It is a great pleasure to launch the first phase of IABC France's website. This signals an important milestone in our chapter's history, as we have now reached a critical mass both in terms of membership, and general interest in the organisation. Our year-on-year membership growth peaked at 40 percent in April --the highest among Europe’s established chapters--thanks to factors such as the 2005 EuroComm in Paris and a dedicated membership strategy.

The IABC site boasts a simple and clear design, based on award-winning sites seen in other chapters. In a first step, we aim to have a web presence with basic event and contact information. Future developments will depend on the needs of our members, available resources and the rapid evolution of technology. Reflecting the international nature of our membership, the site will be updated in both French and English on a regular basis.

This launch is also a call for volunteers interested in contributing to the communications of IABC France, especially as we explore the potential of social media to help us network without leaving our desks. Please make contact with 2007-08 Communications Directors, Martin Crocker or Dirk Hinze if you are interested, or for any feedback.

And last but not least, many thanks to Equallia for their time and effort in designing the site as well as to last year’s president Laura Eurin-Peterson, Communications Directors Anne Ravanona and Olivier Cordonnier and the entire 2006-07 board. Finally, I would like to thank Dirk Hinze for the final updates.
